Calves at Oxberry

Our Story

The Hall Family began developing this land for farming in the 1940s with a team of 14 bullocks. Ten years later, the Halfway region was opened up from native bushland to pasture; sustaining merino sheep, beef cattle, and crops. The Oxberry Plains have been farmed by our family for four generations.

In 2012, in a bid to draw "errant" family members home, the first experimental vines were planted on a unique mudstone ridge on the property. The experiment was deemed a success and additional vines were planted to expand the vineyard to an area just over one hectare. The vines are pruned, trained, and harvested by hand.

All our wines are from this single vineyard site and we endeavor to bring you the best wines this unique soil and climate can produce.

Mottle and Blossom

Our wine labels feature the distinctive image of two bullocks; Mottle and Blossom, the last of the team.
